Galería La Coronela is the gallery and studio of the well known Mexican artist Víctor Vega and his very talented daughter Sophia Vega. Víctor was born in Aguascalientes in the Mexican state of Sonora, and studied Visual Arts at the San Carlos Academy of Plastic Arts at UNAM (National Autonomous University of Mexico) in Mexico City. Víctor moved to Baja California many years ago and now resides and paints in Todos Santos.
The gallery is located in one of the many historical buildings in the Magical Town of Todos Santos. In fact, in this building the famous Dionisia Villarino Espinoza "La Coronela" was born on June 25, 1869. She was an exemplary woman of valor as she organized a strong women´s auxiliary group which played a major role in espionage during the Mexican Revolution in Baja California Sur in 1910.
The paintings of Víctor Vega hang in several national and international collections. He is very prolific and regularly changes his themes to satisfy his creativity and to keep his art fresh. Víctor's art is also exhibited in many other galleries - four in the United States, several galleries in Cabo San Lucas and others in Todos Santos besides his own gallery.

Galería La Coronela es la galería y el estudio del reconocido artista mexicano Víctor Vega y su muy talentosa hija Sophia Vega. Víctor nació en Aguascalientes en el estado de Sonora, y estudió Artes Visuales en la Academia de San Carlos de Artes Plásticas de la UNAM en la Ciudad de México. Víctor se mudó a Baja California hace varios años y, hoy en día, vive y pinta en Todos Santos.
La galería está ubicada en uno de los varios edificios históricos del Pueblo Mágico de Todos Santos. De hecho, en este edificio nació la famosa Dionisia Villarino Espinoza "La Coronela" el 25 de junio de 1869. Fue una mujer ejemplar de valentía ya que organizó el grupo auxiliar de mujeres lo cual desempeñó un papel muy importante de espionaje durante la Revolución Mexicana en Baja California Sur en 1910.
Las pinturas de Víctor Vega están en varias colecciones nacionales e internacionales. Es muy prolífico a cambia constantemente sus temas para satisfacer su creatividad y para mantener su arte fresco. El arte de Víctor también está exhibido en muchas otras galerías - cuatro en los EE.UU., varias en Cabo San Lucas y en algunas otras galerías en Todos Santos además de su propia galería.
